How to Know She’s Flirting With You (and Some Interesting Flirting Facts!)

I found this helpful photo that supposedly let’s guys know when a lady is giving signs that she’s interested. I’ll outline it below (and post the original photo on the bottom) and offer my two cents on each so you know whether it’s bullshit or not.

You’re welcome.

When in doubt, look for these:

1. Eye Contact: She will constantly make eye contact with you (This is very true. However, I’m the type of person that makes eye contact with everyone, and I’ve noticed that when I like a guy, I can’t make eye contact too long because I get nervous.)

2. Comes Back for More: She will try to get your attention by parading herself back and forth until you notice her (Relax. I will do one swoop with clear view, and if I don’t get a reaction, I’m done. None of this ‘back and forth’ nonsense.)

3. Flirty Lips: She will draw attention to her lips with any prop she can find, whether it’s a straw from her drink or her fingers (I’ve never intentionally done this, but a girlfriend recently brought it up. Maybe I’ll try it out. It just always looks so awkward in my head.)

4. Corners You: She manages to corner or slip you away from the crowd (I think this is a two-way street. If you’re vibing, it’s natural to veer away from the noise and focus on each other. Always a good sign.)

5. Imitation: She mimics your movements as a human instinct and form of flattery (Yep, I do this all the time.)

6. Hair Play: She plays with her hair trying to distract you from everyone else to get your sole attention (Mmm, I’m honestly just trying to stop my hair from getting stuck on my lip gloss.)

7. Touching: She overpasses the “personal bubble” and goes out on a limb by touching you, it’s a powerful physical sign of flirting (This is always true. Usually it’s a gentle touch on the arm or whatever. Unfortunately, I tend to hit people when I laugh. I should really work at that.)

8. First Approaches: She takes a bold first approach to talk to you (Always.)

9. “Awwing” and “Ohhing”: She says “aww” or “ohh” a lot after you do something or say something. She thinks you’re cute. (This does happen. I personally keep it at a minimum, because the guy’s not a baby to coo at. Plus, sarcastic remarks are more my forte.)

10. Laughs at What You Say: She’ll flirtatiously laugh to even the most silly things you say (If it’s funny, I’ll laugh. If it’s not, I won’t. Unless I’m laughing at you, not with you.)

11. A Cry for Help: She’ll ask for any sort of assistance from you, that way she’ll be indulging your psychological need to feel like a hero (I need to do this more.)

12. Closeness: She is out of her safe zone and remains close to you during conversation, however be cautious this might not be flirting when in crowded or noisy places (Please take note of the second half of that sentence. If we have no choice but to be close to you, it’s because we have no choice. But if there’s plenty of space and she continues to stay close to you, she’s into it.)

13. Subtle Double Meanings: She’ll find a way to include double meaning phrases in the conversation and most probably with an erotic connotation (This can be true. Unless you’re just a perv, like me.)
